20:02 Thorpe Willoughby

Crews from Selby responded to reports of heat coming from a smoke detector after water from a leak in the upstairs bathroom had entered it. Crews attended and removed the smoke alarm. Advice given.

20:08 Brotherton

Crew from Pontefract responded to reports of a fire in the open. On arrival this was found to be a small fire. Crew extinguished using bucket of water.

20:19 Crossgates, Scarborough

Crew from Scarborough responded to reports of some fencing on fire. On arrival of crews the fire was already out. Fire was caused by a disposable BBQ.

21:45 Scarborough

Crew from Scarborough assisted after a cat became trapped under the spare wheel of a car. Crews used small tools to lower the wheel and release the cat.

22:48 York

Crew from York attended a location to assist police after youths were seen climbing scaffolding. Following a search of the area no one could be found.

 

During the night crews from Scarborough, Knaresborough and Reeth responded to automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
