Incident Summary Day Shift Thursday 05th June

13:33 – A658 North Rigton

Two crews from Harrogate and a crew from Ripon responded to a report of a 3 vehicle road traffic collision. Three persons were out of their vehicle on the arrival of crews. Crews stabilised one vehicle to allow 2 persons to self extricate from the vehicle under supervision of paramedics. Crews made the vehicle safe and handed the incident over to the police.

13:39 – Garfield Terrace, York

Two crews from York and Acomb responded to a report of a fire in a residential property. The fire was confined to the kitchen and resulted in 25% fire damage and 45% smoke damage to the room of origin. Crews extinguished the fire and ventilated the property. One occupant was rescued by crews and left in the care of ambulance paramedics.

15:38 – Crakehall 

A crew from Northallerton responded to a request from ambulance crews to assist with gaining access to a property where they had concerns for the occupant. Crews made contact with occupant and left them in the care of ambulance crews.

16:52 – Second Avenue, York 

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a chimney fire in a residential property. Crews found this to be a false alarm due to smoke from a log burner. Advice was given to the occupant.
