Incident Summary – Wednesday Nightshift – 4th June 2025

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time: 17:21  Location: Skipton

Skipton mobilised to 3 persons trapped inside a lift carriage. Crews used small tools to release all people from the lift who were safe and well. Advice was given.

Time: 21:36  Location: Acomb

Acomb assisted a person from the roof of a house back to safety using a triple exterior ladder.

Time: 22:30  Location: Whitby

Whitby mobilised to reports of a fire sighted behind a residential property. After inspection, this was confirmed as controlled burning and advice was given.

Time: 00:27  Location: Bedale

Masham and Leyburn responded to reports of a kitchen fire. After inspection crews discovered this to be an alarm activation cause from cooking fumes. Crews gave advice to the occupant.

 

Crews from Harrogate also responded to activated fire alarms inside commercial and residential buildings. After inspection, these were all confirmed as false alarms.
