Crews from Skipton and Grassington responded to reports of smoke inside a retail premises. Crews carried out a thorough inspection. No fire or heat source located. Believed false alarm caused by air heater.

Time: 11:35  Location: Staddle Bridge

Crew from Northallerton responded to reports of a large amount of smoke in the area. This was found to be a false alarm caused by controlled burning.

Time: 11:37 Location: High Street  Skipton

Skipton crews were flagged down by a member of the public to assist with a person collapsed inside a shop. Crews administered emergency care until arrival of the Ambulance Service.

Time: 14:13 Location: Breckonbrough

Malton crews responded to report of grassland smouldering. Crew investigated and confirmed a grass fire caused by disposable BBQ’s. Crew extinguished the fire using knapsack sprayers.

Time: 15:56 Location: The Green, Romanby

Northallerton crews responded to report of a bin fire in the open. On arrival crew confirmed the fire had been extinguished by a member of the public. Crew used a thermal camera to ensure no hot spots remained.

Time: 16:19 Location Catterick Garrison 

Richmond crews responded to report of a recycling bin on fire. On arrival crew investigated and confirmed fire had been extinguished. Crew inspected for any hotspots.

Bedale crew responded to a smoke alarm activation at a residential property. This was investigated and confirmed as a false alarm.
