Incident Summary – Monday 9th June Night Shift
To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.
18:27 – A169 near Old Malton
A crew from Malton responded to a car on fire. They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and dampen down the area. The incident was then handed over to the Police.
19:30 – Woodland north of Stokesley
Colleagues from Coulby Newham in Cleveland attended a small fire in woodland consisting of bushes. The crew used buckets of water to extinguish the fire.
21:52 – Walmgate, York
A crew from York assisted Ambulance with gaining entry to a property due to welfare concerns. The crew used small tools to access the premises and left the incident with paramedics.
23:48 – Northallerton
Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton responded to reports of a small storage building on fire. Firefighters used 3 hose reel jets, 3 main jets, 6 breathing apparatus, thermal imaging cameras, a 9 metre ladder and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire.
03:10 – Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough were requested to gain entry to an address for paramedics. Crews used a triple extension ladder to access the property.
03:27 – Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. After a thorough inspection, this was found to be a false alarm, although the cause of the activation was unknown.
05:10 – York
A crew from Acomb assisted Police at an incident involving a vehicle that had impacted a building.
