Incident Summary – 4th July Friday Day Shift

08:27 – A684 Romanby, Northallerton

A crew from Northallerton responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All occupants of the vehicles were out on arrival of the fire service and uninjured. Crews used small tools to disconnect the batteries and make the scene safe. Incident was then left with Police who were arranging for the vehicles to be recovered.

08:28 – Catterick Village, Richmond

A crew from Richmond attended an automatic fire alarm activation within a residential premises. This was a false alarm that had been caused by a fault on the system.

09:22 – Harlow Manor Park, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to an automatic fire alarm activation within a domestic premises. This was a false alarm that had been caused by a fault on the system.

10:09 – Peasey Hills Road, Malton

A crew from Malton attended a domestic address where a smoke alarm had activated. This was confirmed to be a false alarm caused by the system being tested.

11:46 – Sleights, Whitby

The crew from Whitby responded to a request to gain entry at an address for first responders. A person had fallen inside a property and was unable to get up to unlock the door. The crew gained access via a side window and unlocked the door from the inside.

12:31 – A170, near Kirkbymoorside

Crews from Kirkbymoorside and Malton responded to a three vehicle road traffic collision. One person was medically trapped in a vehicle. Three other people were out on arrival of the fire crews. The crews used small tools to access the casualty, and administered oxygen therapy until arrival of an ambulance crew. Police also attended to assist with traffic management.

12:46 – Hoxton Road, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough assisted paramedics with a lifting a casualty into a road ambulance. They used crew power, and the person was then transported to hospital.

13:00 – Hambleton, Selby

A crew from Selby responded to a report of a fire in the open. This was part of an incident that they attended last night and were due to revisit today. The crew used wildfire tools to extinguish the fire.The incident has been left open for a further revisit due to deep seated hot spots.

15:04 – Cedar Close, Ripon

The crew from Ripon were called to assist a person who had become locked in their property. The crew gained entry and then gave advice to the person inside.
