Time: 0800  Location: Oakdale Glen, Harrogate

Harrogate crew attended reports of a fire in the open in a wooded area near the golf course. Crews used a hose reel to dampen down area and extinguish hot spots

Time:  09:38 Location: A65, Long Preston

A crew from Skipton, alongside the Barnoldswick crew from our colleagues at Lancashire FRS, responded to reports of a lorry which had crashed into a dry stone wall and come to rest in a field. The driver was out on arrival and uninjured. Crews assessed the vehicle, confirming no leaks and conducted a thermal scan. Crews disconnected the battery and left the incident with the police. Crews utilised small tools and a thermal imaging camera at this incident.

A crew from Harrogate, alongside a specialist animal rescue unit from Tadcaster responded to reports of a horse trapped in a gulley. Crews utilised strops to attempt to rescue the horse, which got up of its own accord and was left in the care of their owner.

Whilst returning to home station, a crew from Grassington came across a casualty who had fallen and suffered a head injury. Crews provided fire aid to the person before leaving him in the care of the ambulance service.

A crew from York responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm caused by steam from a shower.

Time: 12:01  Location: Beaulah Terrace, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm caused by an accidental activation of a manual call point.

Time: 14:56  Location: Selby Fire Station

A person presented themselves at Selby fire station to request the crew remove 2 rings from their fingers. The crews utilised their battery powered ring cutting tool to remove both rings successfully.

Time: 15:24  Location: A1 northbound before A64 junction

Fire crews from Tadcaster and Acomb responded to reports of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision on the motorway. The collision involved a Tesla and a Range Rover. All occupants were out on arrival, suffering cuts and bruises. Crews inspected the Tesla and provided first aid to the occupants.
