Incident Summary – Day shift, Sunday 17th August

Time: 10:20     Location: Area of Jervaulx, Middleham

Fire and Rescue crews from Ripon and Richmond attended following a report from Ambulance of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorbike. On arrival of crews, the driver was in the care of ambulance paramedics. Crews dealt with a small fuel spill on the carriageway. General scene safety only. Incident left with Ambulance.

Time: 11:00     Location: Hood Hill area, Kilburn

Thirsk crew attended a fire in the open. Knapsack sprayers and wildfire equipment used to extinguish the fire.

Time: 11:56     Location: Moss Street, York

York crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

Time: 13:04     Location: Harlow Manor Park, Harrogate

Harrogate crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

Time: 13:48     Location: Westborough, Scarborough

Scarborough attended a fire involving fence panels. Crew used one hose reel jet to extinguish and a thermal image camera to check for any hot spots.

Time: 14:58     Location: A66 Eastbound near Gilling junction

Crews dealt with a car fire in the area. Vehicle fire extinguished using one hose reel jet and two hose reels. Fire also affected area of grass verge. Vehicle completely fire damaged. Incident left with vehicle owner and highways in attendance.

Time: 15:13     Location: Seamer Road, Scarborough

Scarborough extinguished a small fire in the open consisting of general waste. One bucket of water used to extinguish.

Time: 15:22     Location: Hawes Road, Harrogate

Harrogate attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. One driver, out on arrival of emergency services, no injuries. Crew carried out general scene safety and left incident with police on scene.
