Incident Summary – Day Shift, Sunday 21st September

Time: 08.01   Location: Hanover Terrace, Whitby

A crew from Whitby responded to assist Ambulance crews with extrication of a casualty down a difficult stairwell and into a waiting ambulance.

Time: 10.57  Location: Peasholm Crescent, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough along with the Aerial Ladder Platform responded to a report of a person on a roof who was injured and unable to get down.  Crews rescued the person using the Aerial Ladder Platform.

Time:  11.46  Location: A1 Junction 46 to 47

Crews from Tadcaster and Wetherby from West Yorkshire responded to a report of a fire to an HGV on the hard shoulder.  This was found to be a tyre that had blown out and the Fire Service were not required.

Time:  13.45  Location: Lerecroft Road, York

Acomb crew responded to a request to assist carers who could not access a property due to a key being in the back of the lock and concerns for the occupant.  Crews used method of entry kit to gain entry to the premises.

 

Crews from Scarborough, Ripon (x2), York and Grassington also attended reports of automatic fire alarm activations. These were found to be false alarms.
