Incident Summary – Night Shift, Monday 22nd September
Time: 17.38 Location: Scarcroft Road, York
York crew responded to a report of a smell of smoke in the area. This was found to be coming from a residential chimney.
Time: 18.57 Location: A19 S Craythorne to East Rounton
Crews from Stokesley and Thirsk responded to a report of a fire in a field at the side of the road, possibly a large vehicle. This was found to be a controlled burn and no Fire Service action was required.
Time: 20.18 Location: Principal Rise, York
A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a person who was stuck in a baby swing. Crews used crew power and short ladder to release the person.
Crews from Acomb, Knaresborough, Scarborough, York and Filey also attended automatic fire alarm activations. These were found to be false alarms.
