Incident Summary – Wednesday Dayshift, 24th September 2025
Time: 11:28 Location: Newborough, Scarborough
Scarborough responded to a elderly casualty who had fallen in their property whilst cooking. Crews attended and isolated the cooker and then provided first aid for the occupant who had suffered ankle injuries when falling. Fire crews continued to provide patient care until the arrival of a family member who resumed care until the arrival of an ambulance crew.

Bentham mobilised to a property to gain entry on behalf of carers after concerns for the occupant inside. Crews were able to access the property after accessing the key in the key safe. The occupant was found safe and well inside and left in the car of a family member.
Time: 13:18 Location: Near Reeth
Richmond responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential property. After inspection, this was confirmed a false alarm.
Time: 14:05 Location: A658, Harrogate
Harrogate mobilised to a persons trapped inside their vehicle after suffering from a spinal injury. The driver was not involved in a road traffic collision but was carried from the vehicle using crew power and into the awaiting road ambulance. The driver was taken to hospital for further investigation and the cause.
Time: 16:03 Location: Bondgate, Ripon
Ripon responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential building. After inspection, this was confirmed a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
Time: 16:14 Location: Bridge Street, Whitby
Whitby responded to a a public bin smoldering. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet. The cause of the fire is believed accidental.
