Incident summary – Night shift Wed 24th Sept

Time: 22:36   Location: Hull Road, York

York crew attended and extinguished a fire within a waste container. Damage to contents only. One hose reel jet used to extinguish.

Time: 23:16   Location: Wigginton, York

Acomb crew attended to assist ambulance paramedics gain entry. Small tools used to assist. Incident left with ambulance.

Time: 23:50   Location: Seamer Road, Scarborough

Scarborough crew called to attend a road traffic collision, however, on arrival were advised by Police they were not required. Incident left with police, no action by fire and rescue.

Time: 23:56   Location: Peckitt Street, York

York crew attended and assisted with releasing a person trapped on a fence. Crew power used to release person back to safe ground. Checks carried out, believed no injuries. Person left in care of ambulance.

Automatic fire alarms activated in Malton,York, Skipton and Hawes. All were investigated and confirmed to be false alarms.
