Harrogate responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential building. After inspection, this was caused by workmen on site carrying out maintenance work and confirmed a false alarm. Advice was given.

Time: 12:13 Location: Hawes

Hawes mobilised to a chimney fire well alight confined to the flue only. Crews used working at height equipment, 9 metre ladder and roof ladder to access the roof and extinguished the chimney fire using a hose reel jet. Chimney rods were then used to full extinguish the fire fully. Advice was given to occupant.

Time: 12:33 Location: Spital Bridge, Whitby

Whitby crew rescued a trapped cocker spaniel inside a vehicle after the owners accidentally left the keys inside. Crews accessed the side window and reunited the unharmed dog with its owners. Pacex and small tools used only.

Time: 14:43 Location: Embsay, Skipton

Skipton mobilised to a vehicle smoking form the engine compartment. Crews isolated the vehicle and inspected the engine. Advice was given to the owner to arrange recovery once no risk of fire had been confirmed.

Northallerton are responding to an activated fire alarm. This incident is still ongoing.
