Time: 08:32  Location: Barlby, Selby

Selby mobilised to assist an ambulance responder with gaining access to a property after an elderly occupant was seen inside on the floor. Crews gained access using small tools and a lock puller kit. The occupant was lifted to safety and assessed by the responder. Incident was left with ambulance staff.

Time: 13:39   Location: Moor Lane, Eastfield

Scarborough responded to an activated fire alarm inside a commercial building after a call directly from site who were unable to determine the cause. Crews carried out an inspection and confirmed this was a false alarm. The incident was left with staff on site to request an engineer.

Time: 13:43  Location: Hemmingbrough, Selby

Selby used bolt cutters and sharps protection equipment to remove a whiteboard frame that a 3 year old child had trapped their head inside accidentally. The child was released carefully and parents were advised to seek medical advice for precautionary reasons.

Time: 14:09 Location: Outside York Fire Station

York crew witnessed a person who had fallen from their bike outside the fire station. Fire crews provided first aid for a small wound to their hand. The cyclist did not require an ambulance and left after the wound was sterilized and protected with plasters.

Time: 15:00  Location: Ingleton, Bentham

Bentham responded to reports of smoke sighted in the area. After inspection, crews discovered this to be a controlled burn with occupants in attendance.

Time: 15:58  Location: Stokesley

Stokesley responded to reports of a fire sighted in a field. After inspection, this was confirmed as controlled burning under supervision.

Time: 16:26  Location: Near Masham

Crews from Ripon investigated the activation of a fire alarm inside a residential building. There was a smell of burning reported initially, but it was later confirmed whilst fire crews were enroute that this was caused by a smoke bomb due to some fumigation taking place. Crews still inspected the area that the smell of burning was reported and confirmed there was no fire. Advice was given to staff on site.
