17:08 Captain Cooks Way, Great Ayton

Stokesley crew attended a domestic bonfire in garden that had grown out of control and spread to fencing and part of shed roof. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.

18:23 Watermill Close, North Stainley

Ripon crews responded to reports of a oil tank leakage on driveway of property and also affecting cul-de-sac. Crews swilled away oil from roadway using a hose reel.

18:45 Haxby Road, York.

York crew responded to assist with a report of a person stuck in a lift in sheltered accomodation. After investigation crews confirmed that no persons were stuck in the lift.

19:36 Peregrine Square, Selby

Selby crews responded to a report of a smell of burning in a domestic property. Crew carried out a thorough search and confirmed no fire in property. Crews gave guidance to occupants.

20:00 Langbourne Road, Whitby

Whitby responded to assist a mother and her child locked in the public toilets. Crew managed to contact Harbour Master who attended with the keys and released the mum and child.

20:48 Allotments off Wentworth Road, York

York and Acomb crews responded to several reports of a fire on the allotments. On arrival crew requested a further assistance from two more appliances for water. The fire involved two garden sheds, both set alight deliberately. Crews extinguished using hose reel jets. The cause of fire is believed to be arson. Both sheds were destroyed by fire.

Malton crews responded to assist with a single vehicle road traffic collision. No persons were trapped. One person was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Ambulance crew. Crews made the scene safe and the incident was left in the hands of the Police.

York’s crew attended an address where an automatic fire alarm was sounding. After a full inspection was carried out this was found to be a false alarm.

23:41 Glusburn

A crew from Skipton were requested to assist with releasing three people who had become stuck in a lift. A lift engineer was on scene when the Fire Service arrived and had released the people.

00:12 Bedale

A crew from Masham responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. A full inspection was carried out and this was found to be a false alarm caused by a faulty system.

Scarborough crew attended an address where an automatic fire alarm was sounding. After a full external inspection was carried out this was found to be a false alarm.
