Incident Summary – Day Shift, Sunday 12th October

Time: 10.06  Location: Richmondshire Walk, Catterick Garrison

A crew from Richmond responded to multiple reports of a car on fire in a car park.  On arrival of the crews the vehicle was well alight.  Crews used 1 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Time:  10.07  Location: Jubilee Road, Norton

Malton Crew responded to assist a person who had fallen in a room on a first floor.  Crews assisted the person from the floor and downstairs.  Crews left the person comfortable and in the care of family members.

Time: 11.16   Location:  Peasholm Gap, Scarborough

Crew from Scarborough responded to a report of two fires to shrubbery in the open.  On arrival of the crews the fire measured approximately 25m x 10m.  Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Time: 11.22   Location:  Cambridge Crescent, Harrogate 

Two crews from Harrogate responded to a report of smoke from a light fitting.  The fire to a lightbulb was out on arrival of the crews.  Crews gave advice to contact an electrician before using the lights again.

Time:  12.19  Location:  Mint Garth, Knaresborough

Knaresborough crew responded to a report of a dog that had got stuck in railings near a play park.  Crews used spreaders to release the dog and handed it back to its owners unharmed.

Time: 12.46   Location:  Rose Avenue, Whitby

Crews from Whitby and Scarborough responded to a request from Ambulance to assist with a difficult extrication of a casualty from their property.

Time:  14.29  Location: Beech Close, Baldersby

Crews responded to a request for assistance from ambulance with a difficult extrication of a casualty from their property.

Time: 16.33  Location: New Earswick, York

Crews from York reported to a call about a small fire in the rear garden, upon arrival this was a small gazebo fire which occupant had extinguished with a hosepipe.

 

Crews from Selby also attended automatic fire alarm activations.  These were found to be false alarms.
