Incident Summary – Monday 3rd November 2025 – Day Shift
Time: 07:13 Location: Broadacres, Carlton
Crews from Selby responded to assist ambulance to gain entry to a residential property where the occupant had fallen inside. Crews gained entry via a window using a triple extension ladder and the casualty was left in the care of paramedics.
Time: 08:29 Location: Woodfield Road, Harrogate
Crews from Harrogate responded to a request from the ambulance to gain entry to a residential property over concerns for the occupant. Crew gained entry using a lock puller and the casualty was left in the care of the ambulance.
Time: 08:57 Location: Alma Square, Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough responded to reports of smoke in a residential property. On arrival this was confirmed to be cooking fumes.
Time: 10:11 Location: Staynor Link, Selby
Crews from Selby responded to a fire alarm sounding in a building. On arrival this was confirmed to be a false alarm due to burnt toast. Advice was given.
Time: 11:22 Location: Grass Wood Court, Grassington
Crews from Grassington responded to reports of a large tree that had fallen, blocking the road, with possible electric wires exposed. On arrival Highways were in attendance and no fire service action was required.
Time: 14:10 Location: Haregill Bank, High Ellington
Crews from Bedale and Ripon responded to reports of a fire to hay bales in a barn. On arrival 1 stone structured barn and 1 steel structure barn were found to be fully involved in fire. Crews used small jets to protect unaffected external bales and allowed the fire to burn under supervision. The fire is currently being monitored by crews and this will continue into the evening.

Crews from Sherbern attended a single vehicle road traffic collision as requested by the police to stabilise the vehicle. On arrival the vehicle was found to be in a stable condition and no fire service action was required.
