08:05 – Willance Grove, Richmond 

Crews from Richmond and Leyburn responded to a report of a smell of smoke in a residential property with the alarm sounding. On arrival crews found a fire in the kitchen of the property and rescued one occupant from the property suffering smoke inhalation. Crews extinguished the fire and ventilated the property. The casualty was left in the care of ambulance crews.

08:30 – Merchants Row, Scarborough 

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a chimney fire. Crews carried out a thorough search of the area and found no sign of fire.

08:56 – Gayle Lane, Hawes 

Crews from Hawes and Leyburn responded to a report of smoke seen in a commercial premises. Crews carried out a thorough search of the property and found no signs of fire. Advice was given to a responsible person at the site.

12:07 – Usher Lane, Haxby 

A crew from York responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. Crews found this to be a false alarm due to a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.

13:24 – Boroughbridge Road, York 

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a child that was locked in a vehicle with the keys also inside. Crews stood by until a family member arrived with a spare key that was then used to gain access.

13:28 – Danebury Drive, York 

A crew from York responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to testing of the system.

13:54 – North Marine Road, Scarborough 

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an error on the system.

14:27 – Bower Street, Harrogate 

Crews from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property where the occupant saw smoke. Crews found no sign of fire and found the cause of the alarm to be dust in the detector head.

15:10 – Town Head, Hawes 

A crew from Hawes responded to a report of an alarm activation in a commercial premises. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause.

15:27 – Great North Road, Leadsham

A crew from Tadcaster responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a malicious activation of a manual call point.

16:00 – Gordon Crescent, Richmond 

A crew from Richmond responded to a report of a fire in a residential property. On arrival crews found that the fire was out. The fire resulted in damage only to a pine cone that had been too close to the fireplace. Crews gave advice to the home owner.
