Incident Summary – 14th November – Night shift

Time: 19.12    Location: Dunslow Road, Scarborough

A Scarborough crew attended an alarm activation, upon arrival this was found to be a false alarm. No fire service action required.

Time: 20.44   Location: Breconbar Road, Bainbridge

Hawes crew attended one chimney fire confined to the flue, crews used one triple extension ladder, chimney rods, hearth kit and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire, and advice was given to the occupier.

Time: 21.02   Location: Lupton Close, Glasshouses

A crew from Harrogate responded to flooding outside a property, crews assisted resident with sandbags to divert the water away from the property. Crews gave advice to the resident.

Time: 21.43    Location: Thoresby Road, York

A crew from Acomb responded to a small leak into a property, inspection from crews was carried out and advice was given to contact a plumber.

Time: 23.50   Location: Spa Lane, Harrogate 

Knaresborough crew responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a premises, upon arrival this was a false alarm, cause was accidental. 

Time: 23.58   Location: Marton Court, Whitby

A crew from Whitby responded to a request from ambulance to gain entry to a property with concerns over the welfare of an individual. Once access was gained, the casualty was left in the care of the paramedics.

Time: 00.18    Location: Darwin Close, Huntington

York crew responded to an alarm sounding at a property, upon arrival it was found there had been a small fire in the oven, the fire was out on fire service arrival. Crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to remove smoke within the property, and gave advice to the occupier.

Time:  03.26  Location: Springfield Avenue, Harrogate

Harrogate assisted ambulance crews with the extrication of a patient from inside a residential building. Crews used ambulance crews scoop stretcher and crew power to lift the patient from the fifth floor down to ground floor and into the ambulance. The incident was left with paramedics.
