Incident Summary – Day Shift 4th August
Time: 08.13 Location: Sinnington
A crew from Pickering responded to a report of smoke and flames seen on a farm from the road. On arrival the crews located an unsupervised bonfire measuring approx 6m x 6m and extinguished using 1 hose reel jet. Advice was given to the land owner.
Time: 09.22 Location: West Cliffe Grove, Harrogate
Two crews from Harrogate responded to a report of a smell of burning in a residential property. After inspection this was found to be a false alarm.
Time: 10.37 Location: North Park Road, Harrogate
Crews from Harrogate responded to a report of smoke coming from a vehicle. Crews located the vehicle and established oil was leaking onto the hot engine manifold causing the smoke. Crews cooled the engine using a Hose Reel jet, 2 Breathing Apparatus and Thermal imaging camera and carried out scene safety. The scene was left with the driver of the vehicle awaiting recovery.
Time: 10.48 Location: Sandhutton, Thirsk
A crew from Thirsk responded to a report of a fire on a stubble field. On arrival of the crew this was found to be an unattended bonfire. Crews extinguished the fire and dampened down the area using 1 Hose Reel Jet.

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request from Ambulance to assist with a difficult extrication of a casualty from the second floor of their property to an awaiting road Ambulance. Crews used crew power only to assist the casualty into the Ambulance.
Time: 12.51 Location: Eastfield, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a request to assist Ambulance crews with the extrication of a casualty from their property into an Ambulance. Crews used crew power to carry the casualty to the Ambulance on a stretcher.
Time: 15.39 Location: Filey
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a person that had become locked into a car. Crews used small tools to gain access through the near side window of the car to release the occupant.
Time: 16.08 Location: Dunnington, York
Crews from Acomb and Huntington responded to a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. All occupants were out of the vehicles on arrival of the crews. Crews used small tools to carry out scene safety and assist police with traffic management. The incident was left with Police and Ambulance.

Crews from Scarborough responded to a 3 vehicle traffic collision. This incident is ongoing at time of publication.
Time: 16.53 Location: Elslack Moor
A crew from Skipton responded to a report of a campfire that had been left unattended. The crews located the campfire that had been extinguished prior to Fire Service arrival and no action was taken.
