Incident Summary 5 March Day Shift

08:18 Asenby
Crews from Ripon and Thirsk, along with an officer attended an incident where a horse called Tilly was stuck due to her front legs over the bars in a horse trailer. Crews were able to unbolt the bar and lower Tilly down. She suffered some bruising and a cut to the eye. Small Tools used. You can see some photos of the rescue on twitter

A crew was requested to assist with gaining entry to a room in a property, however the person had been released from the room prior to the crew from Northallerton's arrival.
10:16 Harrogate- false alarm - unknown cause
10:46 West End, Kirkbymoorside- false alarm good intent
Two crews attended reports of a possible chimney fire. They used a thermal imaging camera to carry out an inspection only. No chimney fire found.
11:36 York- false alarm due to dust
12:32 Selby
A crew from Selby were requested to assist paramedics to gain entry to a property where someone had fallen and was unable to get back up. Crews were able to gain entry and admit the paramedics.
12:32 Jesmond Road, Harrogate
Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate including an aerial ladder platform, and officers attended a fire in a garage which was attached to a property. The fire caused minimal damage to the garage building but did damage to motorcyles, helmets and jackets. There was 100% smoke damage to the garage and 25% smoke damage to kitchen and utility room. Crews used two hose reel jets, breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation. The cause is believed to be an overheating battery charger.

16:34 Tollerton
A crew from York attended an incident where a two year old child had become locked inside a car. The crew used small tools to gain entry.
