05:24 South Milford Selby - incident on-going

A number of crews from North Yorkshire, supported by crews from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a barn building on fire. Crews have been on site all day tackling the fire. The incident was scaled down at around 4pm but some resources including water bowsers remain at the scene. 

07:21 Skipton- false alarm

07:26 York- false alarm

10:00 Moorcroft Road, York

A crew attended reports of a possible electric bus on fire. This turned out to be a false alarm with overheated brakes being mistaken for a fire. The crew isolated the electrics so they could carry out an inspection.

14:37 Glaisdale, Whitby

A number of crews attended reports of a car in deep floodwater. On their arrival there was no-one within the vehicle and no action was required by the fire service.

14:56 Beckwith Road, Harrogate

A crew attended a fire involving a greenhouse in a garden. The fire is believed to have been caused by two candles left unattended in the greenhouse. The fire caused damage to the greenhouse and the contents of it including potted plants. Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
