Incident Summary 18th January Night Shift

18:32 Dale Street York

Two crews attended an incident involvng a chip pan fire in a residential property. The fire caused damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the property. Fire was out on the arrival of crews who carried out an insepection and ventilated using a positive pressure ventilation fan. A woman and a child were taken to hospital for checks after suffering smoke inhalation.

A crew attended a chimney fire caused by a beehive within a chimney. They used chimney rods and hearth kit.

A crew removed rings from an elderly female using ring remover tool.

A crew attended an incident to assist ambulance crews gain entry to treat a casualty who had fallen.

False alarms

Crews also attended a number of false alarms in Skipton, York, Malton, Ripon and Harrogate.
