Incident Summary Day Shift Saturday 4th  May 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time of call: 09:45           Carlton, Selby

Selby crew attended following a report of a car fire. Crew extinguished the car using two hose reel jets.

Time of call: 10:01            Wigginton area, York

Huntington crew attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. One female driver, out of vehicle on arrival of Fire Service personnel and in care of paramedics. Scene safety carried out by crew. Small tools used. Incident left with Police and Ambulance.

Time of call: 10:51             Portholme road, Selby

Selby crew attended a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle. No persons trapped. Motorcyclist received first aid from Fire Service prior to arrival of paramedics. Crew also contained a fuel leak from the motorcycle using drizzit pads. Incident left with Police and Ambulance.

Time of call: 10:54             Eastfield, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough were called to assist with the release of a child who's leg had become stuck within the banister of stairs. Crews worked with small tools to safely release the child from the banister. No injuries.

Time of call: 11:41              Hurricane way, York

Huntington crew attended following a report of a car fire. Crew extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet.

Time of call: 12:40              Thirsk

Crew sent to area  to investigate a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew found this to be controlled burning, under supervision. No action taken. Advice given.

Time of call: 14:13              Sowerby, Thirsk

Crews attended a fire in a residential property. Fire extinguished using one hose reel jet. Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan used to ventilate the property.

Time of call: 16:04               Commercial Street, Scarborough

Crews sent following a report of a water leak in a residential property, affecting electrics. Crew isolated electrics and gave advice to home owner.

We also attended automatic fire alarm activations in York and Sleights. These were all false alarms.
