Incident Summary Night Shift Tuesday 4th December

Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms tonight. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.

Chaloners Road Time of call 21:13

Crews from Acomb and York attended a report of a property fire, on arrival this was found to be controlled burning under supervision

York Time of call 21:37

A crew from Acomb attended a fire to a pan which had been left unattended, they assisted with ventilating the property

Clifton Moor Time of call 22:32

Crews from Huntington and Acomb attended a two vehicle road traffic collision, crews removed a vehicle roof to extricate two female casualties who were left in the care of paramedics.

Wetherby Road, Tadcaster Time of call 22:42

Two crews from Tadcaster attended a fire to an electrical consumer panel, they used C02 extinguishers to put out the fire.

St Nicholas Road, Harrogate Time of call 02:24

A crew from Harrogate attended a bin fire, this was extinguished using 1 hose reel jet. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Kilburn Time of call 03:53

Thirsk attended an automatic fire alarm at a public house, this was a false alarm caused by a faulty detector.

Plumpton Park, Harrogate Time of call 04:56

crews from Harrogate extinguished a rubbish fire under the canopy of a retail unit. Crews used 1 hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan. The cause of the fire was deliberate

Pickering Time of call 05:27

An appliance from Pickering attended an automatic fire alarm at an elderly care home, this was a false alarm.

Spa Lane, Harrogate Time of call 06:26

2 appliances from Harrogate attended a wooden building measuring 10m x 5m on fire. Crews used a 45mm main jet to tackle the fire. **This incident is still ongoing**

Update- the fire has now been extinguished (7:45am). 

Crews carried out a revisit on the afternoon of the 5th December to check for hotspots

The wooden building has been severly damaged by the fire.  The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
