Incident Summary Day Shift 18th May 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.




York - time 11.00


Our Tadcaster and Acomb crews attended reports of an agricultural building on fire, this turned out to be controlled burning under supervision.




Skipton – time 11.06


Skipton crew attended an automatic fire alarm, this turned out to be a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.




A1(M) – time 11.23


Boroughbridge, Ripon, Knaresborough and an appliance from Wetherby were sent to reports of a crash between a car and a lorry on the A1(M). On arrival one female was already in the care of paramedics and crews made the vehicle and scene safe.




York – time 12.29


York attended an automatic fire alarm, this tuned out to be a false alarm caused by dust from workmen.




Scarborough – time 14.16


Scarborough attended a single car road traffic collision. Crews used hydraulic cutting gear to release one female casualty from the vehicle who was suffering from lower back pain. Second casualty was out of the vehicle on arrival. Both casualties were taken to hospital via road ambulance.




Scarborough – 14.29


A crew from Filey attended an automatic fire alarm at an educational premises, this turned out to be a false alarm caused by a faulty detector head.
