 A1 Baldersby

Time of call 06:58

Ripon and Boroughbridge crews responded to a HGV well alight. The HGV trailer was carrying vinyl flooring. Cause of fire is unknown. Crews were at the scene for over six hours. They extinguished the fire using four hose reels and breathing apparatus and a winch

Hurricane Way, York

Time of call 07:04

Huntington fire crews responded to a van fire. This was a false alarm caused

Burnside Avenue, Skipton

Time of call 10:15

Skipton crews attended a smoke alarm activation at a school .This was a false alarm.


Time of call 11:23

Fire crews from Leyburn, Colburn and Richmond attended a fire involving a domestic property; the cause of fire was builder’s tools accidentally igniting a wasp nest. The fire was out on arrival of crews.

East Ayton, Scarborough

Time of call 12:07

Scarborough crews attended a chimney fire in a residential property, Crews removed the chimney pot and a structural engineer attended to ensure the structure was safe.

Westborough, Scarborough

Time of call 13:21

Scarborough crews attended a smoke alarm at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm.

The Shambles, York

Time of call 14:03

Fire crews from York and Acomb responded to a smoke alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm.

Spurriergate, York

Time of call 14:20

Acomb crews attended a small fire involving an electricity box. The cause of the fire is believed to be a discarded cigarette. Crews used one hose reel to extinguish.

Filey Road, Scarborough

Time of call 15:58

Scarborough crews attended a smoke alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm.
