Incident Summary –Day shift – Saturday 25th May 2019


In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred:






Stonefall Avenue, Harrogate


Time of call: 0801


Harrogate crew attended an automatic fire alarm at a domestic property. This was a false alarm caused by a faulty detector head.






Time of call: 0959


Richmond attended an automatic fire alarm at a residential address. This was a false alarm caused by cleaning materials.




River Ouse, York


Time of call: 1350


York assisted with rescuing a dog from a steep bank close to the River Ouse. The dog was rescued uninjured and handed back to its owners. Crews used line equipment at this incident.






Time of call: 1233


Appliances from Ripon, Thirsk, Bedale and Harrogate attended a fire within a single story industrial premises. The fire started in a freezer and caused 100% fire damage to the freezer along with smoke and heat damage throughout the premises. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 hose reel jets, 4 breathing apparatus, positive pressure ventilation fan, thermal imaging camera and a triple extension ladder.
