Incident summary - Day shift Sunday 24th March

24th March 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred:

 

Holgate Road, York

Time of call 08:15

Fire crews from York responded to a smoke alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm caused by accidental breakage of glass point.

 

Pear Tree Lane, Dunnington

Time of call 08:25

Fire crews from York attended a smoke alarm activation at a public premises. This was a false alarm caused by a faulty detector.

 

Thirsk

Time of call 08:29

Thirsk crews attended a smoke alarm activation at a domestic property. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

 

Coney Street, York

Time of call 09:01

York fire crews responded to a small fire involving a wheelie bin. Cause of fire was believed to be deliberate. Crews extinguished using a hose reel jet.

 

A168, Thornton Le Moor

Time of call 13:12

Northallerton crews attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. No people were trapped. Crews made vehicle safe.

 

Markington, Ripon

Time of call 13:22

Harrogate and Ripon crews responded to a fire in a kitchen. This was caused by an electrical fault with a washing machine. The occupants of the house extinguished the fire prior to Fire Service arrival. Crews removed the washing machine outside.

 

Leyburn

Time of call 14:03

Leyburn fire crews attended an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

 

Brayton, Selby

Time of call 15:27

Selby and Snaith crews attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. No persons were trapped. Two people had minor injuries and were taken to hospital for a precautionary check up.

 

Percy’s Lane, York

Time of call 16:24

York fire crews attended a smoke alarm activation which was a false alarm caused by steam.

 

Plumpton Park, Harrogate

Time of call 16:47

Harrogate fire crews attended a smoke alarm activation at a commercial property. This was a false alarm.
