Incident Summary –  Day Shift Monday 13th July 2020  

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred: 

 

 

Time: 09:46 

Location: Prospect Road, Scarborough 

A crew from Scarborough along with an On-Call Watch Manager rescued a seagull that had flow down a chimney and was stuck behind a gas fireplace. The seagull was released unharmed and small tools were used at this incident. 

 

Time: 10:01 

Location: Wreyfield Drive, Scarborough 

Scarborough attended an automatic fire alarm at a domestic property, this was a false alarm caused by workmen.  

 

Time: 12:05 

Location: Cambridge Street, York 

Appliances from Huntington and Acomb were mobilised to reports of a fire alarm sounding in a residential building, this turned out to be a false alarm caused by malicious activation of the fire panel.   

 

Time: 15:49 

Location: Wetherby Road, Harrogate 

2 Harrogate appliances extinguished a fire within a bus engine . The fire was contained to the engine compartment, crews used a foam extinguisher, hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera at this incident. The cause of the fire was due to an electrical fault.
