Incident Summary Monday 21st May Night Shift

Please see below a round up of incidents from Monday 21st May Night Shift

 In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

North Duffield

TOC: 18:04

Crews from Selby have attended a road traffic collision involving a Ford and a Peugeot. From the Ford, two persons were released from one of the vehicles prior to the crews arrival. Crews assisted with the release of a male using their equipment. From the Peugeot, one male was out on arrival of the crews. All persons were taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Brimham Rocks

TOC: 18:11

Four pumps attended a moor fire at Brimham Rocks. The fire covered an area of approximately 8700 square metres of heather. The cause is believed to be due to the careless disposal of barbeques. Crews were able to extinguish the fire using main jets and hose reel jets.  


TOC: 21:01

A crew from Kirbymoorside assisted a male that had fallen in his home. Crews assisted the male back to his bedroom and left in the care of carer.


TOC: 21:39

A lamb had fallen into the canal at Ripon. Crews from Ripon and Boroughbridge went to the site and assisted two members of the public who were in a boat to rescue the lamb. It was then taken back to its field to be reunited with mother, unharmed.


TOC: 00:24

A crew from Easingwold assisted a female that had fallen out of a wheel chair. They helped her back and left in the care of paramedics to treat her for a knee injury.


Crews from Summerbridge and York also attended fire alarm activations in their respective areas, with all activations being false alarms.
