Incident summary Nightshift 20 September 2018

21st September 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 We also attended a number of fire alarm activations during the shift which turned out to be a false alarms.

 Road Traffic Collision – North Rigton Area, Harrogate

Time of call: 19:31

Appliances from Harrogate attended this incident and extricated a male in his 60s who was injured after a collision with another vehicle, crews spread the door off using hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools.

 Flooding related incidents – Scarborough

Appliances from Scarborough and a local officer attended several incidents during the night due to bad weather, they assisted with pumping water away from area, diverting water, isolating appliances and making properties safe.

23:46 – floodwater on Westwood road

00:41 – floodwater affecting several properties on Scalby road

01:17 – flooding inside property on Trafalgar square effecting electrics.

 Fallen tree – Parkin Avenue, Selby

Time of call: 04:52

Appliances from Selby, York and Tadcaster were mobilised following a Police report of a large tree which had fallen onto a bungalow. On their arrival, the tree had narrowly missed the property with neither persons trapped or injured.

 Road Traffic Collision – A166, Gate Helmsley

Time of call: 05:01

Appliances from Huntington and Acomb responded to a single overturned car RTC. On arrival, single occupant out of car and being treat by paramedics. Firecrews made scene safe.
