Incident Summary - Day shift Tuesday 7th August

7th August 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Knaresborough - Time of call 11:22

Fire crews from Knaresborough responded to a van fire involving a Nissan. The cause of fire is believed to be an electrical fault. Crews extinguished fire using two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.

 Roecliffe Village, Roecliffe - Time of call 11:58

Boroughbridge crews attended reports of smoke sighted in the open. This was some controlled burning. Fire Service was not required.

 Wykeham Forest - Time of call 13:25

Fire crews from Scarborough responded to a fire in the woods. On arrival crews confirmed 120sqm of forestry well alight and requested the support of the all terrain vehicle. Crews used beaters, knapsack sprayers and a main jet to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be a dropped light.

 Kirk Deighton. - Time of call 13:44

Harrogate fire crews responded to a car on fire caused by an electrical fault. Car was totally destroyed. Crews used one breathing apparatus and a 45mm jet.

 Hutton Rudby - Time of call 14:47

 Fire crews from Stokesley and a Cleveland appliance attended a baler on fire. The cause of the fire was believed to be an overheated bearing. Fire spread to only one bale. Crews used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus.

A172, Ingleby Arncliffe.  - Time of call 15:32

 Fire crews from Northallerton, Stokesley and two from Cleveland Fire attended a three vehicle road traffic collision. Crews extricated trapped occupants who were then treated by Ambulance crews at the scene.

Heworth Holme, York - Time of call 15:57

 York fire crews responded to a pile of grass cuttings on fire. Cause of fire is believed to be deliberate. Crews used knapsack sprayers to extinguish.
