Incident Summary Monday 4h December Day Shift

Please see below a round up of incidents from Monday 4th December Day Shift

CIarendon Court, York  Time  08:10

An alarm was sounding on Clarendon Court, York. A crew from York attended and confirmed that this was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Highthorne Lane, Husthwaite  Time 08:15

A fire alarm was sounding, this was found to be a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

Temple Hirst, Selby  Time 09:16

Crews from Selby attended a house fire that originated in the kitchen. The crews used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and thermal image cameras to extinguish the fire. It is believed that the fire began due to an electrical fault of a kitchen appliance. The crews ventilated the property and made the scene safe before leaving with the occupier.

Seamer Road, Scarborough  Time 11:00

The Police requested our assistance at a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A64. All persons were out of the vehicles when the crews arrived and the crews made the area safe only to assist the Police on site.

Glebe Avenue, Harrogate  Time 14:00

 An alarm was sounding at a property in Harrogate. Crews from Harrogate attended and confirmed that this was a false alarm due to an accidental activation of the call point.  

Upgang Lane, Whitby  Time 14:19

Crews from Whitby and Lythe went to a fire at a property on Upgang Lane. The fire was in the roof of the building but before the crews arrived, contractors on site had managed to extinguish the fire. There was still a lot of smoke in the in roof so the crews investigated the area with image cameras and hand tools to be sure it was out. The crews will revisit the site later today for safety checks.

Church Street, Gargrave  Time 15:25

Crews from Skipton and Earby attended a fire at a farm. On arrival of the crews found a hay bale that was alight. Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire that was believed to have started from an ember of a nearby bonfire.

Fossway, York  Time 16:48

Crews from York and Acomb attended a report of fire in a kitchen on Fossway. This was a false alarm as cooking fumes were coming from a chip pan. The crews helped ventilate the property using the pressure fans.

Cross Hills, Keighley  Time 16:49

An alarm was sounding Cross Hills, Keighley. A crew from Summerbridge attended and confirmed that this was a false alarm. An investigation is currently in progress.
