Incident Summary Day Shift Sunday 12th July 2020

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Location: Easingwold

Time: 0938

Crews from Easingwold attended a property where a smoke alarm was sounding.  This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Location:  Dishforth

Time:  0950

An Officer attended a property to inspect a partial collapse of an external wall.  Advice given and incident left with occupier, Insurance Company and structural engineer.

Location:  Hansom Place, York

Time: 1006

Crews from York attended an automatic fire alarm sounding, this was a false alarm due to steam.

Location:  Gilling East

Time:  1020

Crews from Easingwold and Helmsley attended a road traffic collision between a motorcyclist and a car.  Crews assisted paramedics in helping the motorcyclist into the ambulance.  Crews also used pads to stem the leak from the motorbike.

Location:  Albany Avenue, Harrogate

Time:  1254

Crews from Harrogate attended a fire alarm sounding, this was a false alarm due to a fault.

Location:  A166, Holtby

Time:  1456

Crews from Acomb, Huntington and Tadcaster were called to reports of a light aircraft that had to make a crash landing in a field.  The sole occupant who was the pilot had managed to safely leave the plane unharmed and was able to stem a fuel leak.  Fire crews used a thermal image camera to check the plane over.  No further action was required.

Location:  Great Busby, Stokesley

Time:  1558 

Crews from Stokesley and Coulby Newham attended a single vehicle road traffic collision.  On arrival, one casualty was out of the vehicle being attended to by ambulance crew.  No action required by the fire service.

Location:  Murton, York

Time:  1605

Crews from York attended a skip on fire in the open.  One hose reel used to extinguish the fire.

Location:  Filey

Time:  1635

Crews from Filey attended a property where an automatic fire alarm was sounding, this was a false alarm due to a fault in the system.
