Incident Summary – Day Shift 5th June, 2020

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred:

 

 

Time: 12:33

Location: York

 

Our Acomb crew responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Location: York

 

Our York crew responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm at a commercial premises. This resulted in a false alarm due to faulty equipment.

 

Time: 15:02

Location: Knaresborough

 

Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate responded to reports of guttering hanging in a dangerous position on a commercial property. Crews used the aerial ladder platform to make the guttering safe.

 

Time: 15:16

Location: Haxby, York

 

Our York crew responded to reports of water leaking into a residential property and affecting the electrics. The crews isolated the electric and used a salvage sheet to prevent further flooding into the property before giving advice to the occupant.

 

Time: 16:02

Location: Wheldrake, York

 

Our Acomb crew responded to reports of a late fire call in a shed. Crews inspected the shed using a thermal imaging camera to make sure the area was safe with the cause believed to be discarded smoking materials.

 

Time: 16:20

Location: A1 N Scotch Corner

 

Crews from Richmond, Colburn and Darlington responded to reports of a van on fire. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 hose reel jets. This incident is ongoing.
