Incident Summary, Day shift, Sunday 16th June

16th June 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

York – Time of call 07:47

A crew from York attended a report of a fire alarm sounding, following inspection this was found to be a false alarm.

Whitby – Time of call 08:52

A crew from Whitby attended a report of a small farm digger on fire, this had been extinguished prior to fire service arrival, make safe and nspection only by crews.

Northallerton– Time of call 10:10

A crew from Northallerton attended a report of smoke issuing from a generator, upon arrival this was found to be exhaust fumes that had been mistaken for smoke, crews isolated the electricity. 

Harrogate – Time of call 11:01

A crew from Harrogate attended a report of a fire alarm sounding, following inspection this was found to be a false alarm due to testing on site.

Thirsk – Time of call 11:03

A crew from Thirsk responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to dust from workmen.

Summerbridge – Time of call 12:34

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a sound of an explosion, on arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to a power cut in the area, crews inspected the electrical substaions and found no sign of smoke, fire or damage.

Scarborough – Time of call 12:57

A crew from Scarborough attended a report of a car fire, on arrival they found a mini well alight, they used one hose reel jet and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire which had started in the engine compartment.

Scampston nr Malton – Time of call 13:15

A crew from Malton assisted a paramedic with first aid on a male who had collapsed and transported him to an ambulance for further treatment.

Kirk Deighton – Time of call 14:07

A crew from Knareborough attended a report of a fire in the open, on arrival this was found to be controlled burning under supervision advice given.
