Incident Summary Day Shift Sunday 23rd September 2018

23rd September 2018


In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.


Leeds Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 07:13

 A crew from Harrogate were called to a water leak inside a residential property. Crews assisted by isolating the water supply.


West Appleton, Hornby

Time of call:10:28

Crews from Richmond, Colburn and Ripon were called to a male with his arm trapped in a grain auger machine. The male was taken to hospital via ambulance with severe arm injuries.


Newby Close, Ripon

Time of call:12:38

Two of our officers were called to assess a small hole in the ground outside of a residential property. Advice was given to the occupants and Harrogate Borough Council were made aware.




Time of call: 14:07

Crews from Hawes, Settle and an Officer were called to a serious road traffic collision. One casualty was taken to hospital by air ambulance and one by road ambulance. Crews assisted with casualty care and made the scene safe. This incident has been left with the police.


Bunkers Hill, Skipton

Time of call:14:19

A crew from Bentham was called to flooding inside a property. Crews assisted by isolating water and electrics and left the incident with the keyholder.


Esplanade Gardens, Scarborough

Time of call: 15:01

A crew from Scarborough were called to assist Northern Gas who had been informed of a smell of gas from a property. Crews assisted in gaining entry to the property. This incident was left with Northern Gas.



A64, Barton Hill

Time of call: 16:03 

Crews from Huntington and Malton were called to a road traffic collision. Crews assisted with making the vehicles safe.


We also attended a number of fire alarm activations during the shift which turned out to be false alarms.
