Incident Summary Night Shift 9th September 2019

Malton Time of call 17:56

Crews from Malton and Huntington attended a single vehicle RTC. Crews administered first aid whilst awaiting the arrival of ambulance crews and also made the scene safe.

Whitby Time of call 19:51

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in the open. On arrival this was found to be a bonfire lit deliberately measuring approximately 10mx10m. Crews stood by with the land owner whilst the bonfire burnt down.

Whitby Time of call 21:03

Crew were requested to attend a residential property by Ambulance crews after a gas cooker had been left on. One casualty was taken to hospital via ambulance to be checked over. Crews ventilated the property and gave advice to the occupier.

York Time of call 22:45

Crews were mobilised to a report of a possible fire in a residential property. On arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to fumes coming from an oven that had been left on. One casualty was left with Ambulance crews.

Selby Time of call 23:02

Crews mobilised to a report of a fire in the open. On arrival this was found to be a fire to some waste straw that crews left to burn out.

Whitby Time of call 23:18

Crew were mobilised to a report of a burning smell coming from an electricity box following a power outage. On arrival crew found this to be a false alarm.

Acomb time of call 23:47

Crews were mobilised to a single vehicle RTC with one person trapped. On arrival crews made the vehicle safe and left one female casualty, with minor injuries, in the care of Ambulance crews.

York Time of call 00:30

Crew mobilised to a report of an alarm sounding at a residential property. This was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Thirsk Time of call 05:12

Crews were mobilised to a report of a garden shed on fire. On arrival crews found this to be well alight due to an electrical fault on a freezer, causing 100% damage to the shed and its contents. Crews used 2 HR and 2 BA to extinguish.
