Incident Summary – Night shift Monday 24th June

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred:

 False alarm – Clifford Street, York

Time of call: 1743 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.

 False alarm – off Queens Road, Richmond

Time of call: 1811 hours

A crew from Richmond has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 Small fire – High Street, great Ayton

Time of call: 2022 hours

A crew from Stokesley has dealt with a fire in a bin. Crew used a bucket of water to extinguish. The cause is believed to be a carelessly discarded disposable barbecue.

 Rubbish fire – Bootham Crescent, York

Time of call: 2035 hours

A crew from Acomb has dealt with a fire to a pile of rubbish approx 2m by 2m. Crew used 1 hosereel to extinguish. The cause is believed to be deliberate.

 Kitchen fire – off Cold Bath Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 2053 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. On arriving on scene they discovered fire in a microwave oven. The fire was out on arrival. Crew removed the microwave to the open and gave advice to the occupier. The cause is yet to be confirmed.

 False alarm – Wigginton Road, York

Time of call: 2147 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to equipment being used.

 Malicious alarm – Acomb Road, York

Time of call: 2159 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to malicious activation of a call point. .

 False alarm – off Leeds Road, Pannal

Time of call: 2206 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

 Effect entry – off Seamer Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 2228 hours

A crew from Scarborough has gained entry to a domestic property to allow paramedics to access a male occupant. Crew used a door enforcer and hand tools.

 First aid – Victoria Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 0037 hours

A crew from Scarborough has come across a female collapsed on the pavement. Crew waited with her until arrival of ambulance. Police also attended.

 False alarm – Goslipgate, Pickering

Time of call: 0048 hours

A crew from Pickering has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty smoke detector.

 False alarm – off Audax Road, York

Time of call: 0157 hours

A crew from Huntington has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

 False alarm – High Street, Stokesley

Time of call: 0405 hours

A crew from Stokesley has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to insects in the detector head.
