Incident Summary Night Shift Tuesday 20th August 2019

 In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round up we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages where incidents have occurred.

Incident Summary Night Shift 20th August

Location: Oak Tree Drive, Romanby

Time: 17:35

Crews from Northallerton responded to reports of an oven on fire in a residential property. They discovered the fire to be out on arrival with the cause believed to be a faulty appliance. The property was ventilated and the cooker was isolated.

Location:  St. Nicholas fields, York

Time: 19:02

Crews from York responded to reports of two small fires in the playing field. Crews used beaters to extinguish the two fires. Cause was believed to be deliberate from children.

 Location: Tang Hall Park, York

 Time: 20:37

Crews from York responded to another report of a small fire in the park, the fire was out on arrival. Crews carried out an inspection and the cause was believed to be deliberate from children again.

Location: Hawsker, Whitby

Time: 22:22

Crews from Whitby assisted the Police with scene safety following a road traffic collision.

Location: Watergate Road, Bishop Thornton

Time: 22:37

Crews from Harrogate and Ripon were called out to reports of a fire out in the open near a farm. Upon further inspection the crews discovered it to be controlled burning from the farmer and advice was given.

 

In addition to the above crews from around the county have attended reports of automatic fire alarms sounding, all of which following investigation were found to be false alarms for various reasons
