Incident Summary Night Shift Wednesday 4th October 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 Beverley Road, Norton, Malton Time of call: 19:26

Two appliances from Malton were called to controlled burning that had become out of control. This was extinguished using a hose reel and pitch forks.

Alcuin Avenue, York  Time of call:19:37

A crew from York were called to a bonfire in the garden of a domestic property. This was controlled burning and no action was taken by the Fire Service.

Falsgrave Road, Scarborough Time of call: 01:55

Crews from Scarborough were called to assist the police with gaining access to the roof of a property to enable them to arrest a male.

Keighley Road, Skipton Time of call: 02:18

Crews were called to a report of a fire in a shop. This was a false alarm due to a malicious caller and no fire was found in area.

Scotch Corner Roundabout Time of call: 05:08

Crews were mobilised to a report of a heavy goods vehicle rolled with the driver trapped. On arrival the driver was out of the vehicle and in care of paramedics. Crews stopped a diesel leak from vehicle and made scene safe.

We also attended fire alarm activations in Tadcaster, York, Richmond, Hawes and Knaresborough . These were all false alarms.
