Incident Summary Day Shift Friday 23rd August

22nd August 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

York – Time of call 0756

Crews from York and Acomb responded to calls of smoke seen behind an industrial building, this was a false alarm due to steam from an engine.

Duggleby – Time of call 0804

Crews from Malton responded to lengths of hay stubble on fire measuring approximately 1 metre by 50 metres, crews used 1 hose reel to extinguish.

York – Time of call 1003

Crews from York and Acomb responded to an alarm sounding and smoke inside a residential property. This was a false alarm due to use of a flea smoke pellet.

A64, Huttons Ambo – Time of call 1005

Crews from Malton responded to a 2 vehicle road traffic collision involving 2 cars. 1 male was taken to hospital via road ambulance suffering head injuries. Another male, a female and 2 children were also taken to hospital via road ambulance suffering minor injuries.

Tadcaster – Time of call 1056

Tadcaster crews responded to calls of smoke issuing from an industrial compactor, this was a false alarm due to chemical cleaner.

Harrogate – Time of call 1140

Harrogate crew responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to an engineer working on the system.

York – Time of call 1145

Crews from Acomb responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to cigarette smoke.

Scarborough – Time of call 1204

Scarborough crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to dust from workmen.

Carlton – Time of call 1331

Selby crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to deodorant.

Newby – Time of call 1351

Crews from Scarborough responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.

Selby – Time of call 1529

Crews from Selby responded to a rubbish fire in the open, crews extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.
