Incident Summary Day Shift Tuesday 15th September 2020

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.


Boroughbridge – 0746

Crews from Boroughbridge responded to a Hay bale on fire in an open field. Crews extinguished using pitchforks.

Moulton – 1038

Richmond crews responded to calls of a fire seen in the open, this was a false alarm due to controlled burning.

Selby – 1120

Selby crews attended an incident with a young child locked in a bathroom. Crews released unharmed using crewpower.

Skipton – 1316

Skipton crews responded to a young child locked in a bathroom. Crews released unharmed using small tools and a hooligan tool.

York – 1448

Crews from Huntington and York responded to a fire inside a residential property in a first floor bedroom. Crews extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan.


Crews from Harrogate, York, Selby, Leyburn, Malton, Kirkbymoorside, Stokesley, Scarborough, Ripon and Huntington have also attended alarm activations across the county. These were all false alarms.
