Incident Summary Night Shift Friday 22nd May 2020

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.


Rillington, Malton – 1859

Crews from Malton responded to calls of a fire in the rear garden of a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a controlled burning.

York – 1935

Acomb and York crews attended a fire at a residential property, involving the external of the building, a fridge freezer, a fence panel and bins. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel, 2 thermal imaging cameras and a short extension ladder.

A61, Ripon – 2049

Crews from Ripon assisted Police with removing a fallen tree on the A61. Crews chopped up the tree and removed it using a reciprocating saw.

Harrogate – 2134

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to the smell of burning coming from a light fitting inside a residential property. The fire was out on arrival and crews inspected using a thermal imaging camera.


Crews from York and Harrogate also responded to automatic alarm activations across the county, these were false alarms.
