Incident Summary Night Shift Monday 23rd July 2018

24th July 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Fenwick – Time of call 16:13

Crews from Selby along with appliances from Snaith and Pontefract have attended a lineside fire, incident dealt with by South Yorkshire Fire Service. This was linked to the incident at Balne at 13:57, see here for details

Selby – Time of call 17:25

Crews from Selby, Acomb and York Have responded to a broken down boat on the river  Ouse. Towed back to lock by crews and left with lock keeper.

York – Time of call 17:31

Crews from Acomb and York responded to smoke seen inside a property, this was a false alarm, caused by cleaning chemicals mistaken for smoke.

Scarborough – Time of call 19:19

Scarborough crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm.

High Street Knaresborough – Time of call 19:38

Knaresborough crews responded to a roof slate overhanging a footpath. Crews brought slate down using 9 metre ladder.

A63 Lund – Time of call 19:51

Selby crews responded to a grass fire by the A63, 1 hose reel jet used to put the fire out. Cause believed to be deliberate.

Low Row Richmond - time of call 20:28

Crews from Reeth attended a bonfire in the open. Due to a large amount of smoke being produced  crews extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel

Cow Dyke Bridge, Harrogate – Time of call 21:09

Crews from Harrogate responded to a fire in the open. This was greass on fire that was out on the arrival of Fire Service. Cause believed to be deliberate.

Main Street, York – Time of call 21:36

York crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, false alarm.

Pinhaw Road,Skipton – Time of call 21:57

Skipton Crews have responded to a fire in a playpark, which involved a pile of clothing deliberately set alight. Fire was out on arrival of Fire Service, inspected by crews only, but no action taken.

Haxby – Time of call 22:04

Huntington Crews responded to controlled burning in a garden. Due to dry conditions crews extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Royal Albert Drive, Scarborough – Time of call 23:05

Crews from Scarborough and Filey responded to a two vehicle collision, crews made vehicles safe using small tools. No person was trapped.

Prospect Road, Harrogate – Time of call 23:45

Harrogate crews attended a shopping trolley on fire, extinguished using 1 hose reel jet. Cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.

Shipyard Road, Selby – Time of call 00:17

Selby crews attended a undergrowth (hedge) fire near the canal  extinguished using 1 hose reel jet. Cause is believed to be deliberate.
