Incident Summary –  Night Shift Monday 13th July 2020

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred:

 

 

Time: 17:12

Location: Skipton

Crews from Skipton responded to a report of an alarm sounding in a residential property, this was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

 

Time: 17:43

Location: Tadcaster

Crew from Tadcaster responded to a report of an alarm sounding at a commercial property, this was a false alarm caused by cobwebs.

 

Time: 17:59

Location: Richmond

Crew from Richmond responded to a report of thick black smoke. On arrival crews found this to be a false alarm due to controlled burning. Crews gave advice to the owner.

 

Time: 20:57

Location: Skipton

Crew from Skipton responded to a report of an alarm sounding in a residential property, this was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes. 

 

Time: 21:25

Location: Harrogate

Crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm sounding at a residential property, this was a false alarm caused by an accidental activation of a break glass point.

Location: Skipton

Crew from Skipton responded to a report of smoke seen. Following a thorough investigation of the area no sign of fire was found in the area.

Location: Acomb

Crew from Acomb responded to a report of a fire in the rear garden of a residential property. On arrival crews found a chiminea being use under control. No action was taken by the fire service.

Location: Kirkbymoorside
Crews from Kirkbymoorside and Pickering responded to a report of a tumble dryer on fire at a residential property. The fire was out on arrival of crews and the tumble dryer had been removed from the property by occupiers. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to dampen down the tumble dryer and administered oxygen therapy to the occupier who was suffering with smoke inhalation. Crews also used PPV to ventilate a ground floor due to slight smoke logging.

Location: Scarborough

Crew were mobilised to a report of a small fire in a bin. This was extinguished using a hose reel. Believed to have been caused by a dropped light.

Location: Scarborough

Crew were mobilised to a report of a small fire in a park. This was out on arrival.
