Please see below a round up of incidents from Sunday 5th August Night Shift

TOC 1955 - A170, Sproxton

Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside crews were requested by ambulance to assist extracting a person from an overturned car. The car had left the road and rolled down an embankment. Upon arrival the person had been freed from the vehicle. Crews assisted paramedics to carry the person to an awaiting ambulance at the roadside. The person, believed to be suffering from minor injuries, was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

TOC 2012 - Newby, Scarborough

A Police request for assistance was received, to assist at a residential premises where an elderly member of the community had reportedly fallen in their hallway. Scarborough Crew gained entry and assisted the person until the arrival of the Ambulance service.

TOC 2128 - A162/A63, Selby

Reports were received of a fire in a field. Tadcaster fire crew attended and upon further investigation found that the fire was controlled burning. Advice was given to the responsible person.

 TOC 0258 – Del Pyke, York

York crews attended a residential premises experiencing a water leak and flooding. Upon investigation crews found water leaking from a burst pipe to the boiler in the flat above. Both water and electrics were isolated and advice was given to residents.

 TOC 0349 – Greengate View, Knaresborough

Crews attended reports of fire in a residence. On investigation Knaresborough and Harrogate crews found a box of teabags and a loaf of bread had been left unattended on a hob, in the kitchen. They had caught fire and were out on arrival. The fire had caused damage to the bread and teabags and caused scorching to the splash back.  

 Automated Fire Alarms – Crews attended multiple alarm activations throughout the course of the night’s duties
