Incident Summary Day Shift Friday 28th September  2018


In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.


A59, Goldsborough

Time of call: 08:14


A crew from Knaresborough have attended a heavy goods vehicle that had spilled its load. The lorry was carrying approx. 4000 litres of milk and crews worked with the Police and Highways Agency to contain the spill.

St Peters Road, Whitby

Time of call: 11:54


A crew from Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay have attended an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. Thankfully this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Top Lane, Norwood

Time of call: 12:20


A crew from Harrogate have attended a small unattended camp fire in the woods. This was extinguished using backpack sprayer.

A64 Westbound Hopgrove to Grimston Lodge

Time of call: 16:39


Crews from Huntington and York have attended reports of a four vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival no persons were trapped and crews made vehicle safe and treated a number of casualties with minor injuries only.
