Incident Summary – Day Shift Thursday 4th June 2020


In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.


Crews from across the county have attended numerous automatic fire alarms activating. Thankfully all of these have been a false alarm.


Stepney Road, Scarborough-  09:28

Crews from Scarborough have removed a TV aerial that was hanging loose from a roof using a roof ladder.


Victoria Road, Scarborough – 11:19

Crews from Scarborough have attended reports of a fire in the open. This turned out to be a false alarm due to controlled burning.


Williance Grove, Richmond – 12:14

Crews from Richmond have attended reports of smoke in a ground floor flat. On arrival crews found smoke within the kitchen of the flat and began to ventilate the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan. The fire was out on arrival and crews gave advice.


Green Hammerton, York

Crews from Acomb have extinguished a tractor fire using a hose reel jet.
